Baudouin Millet
Philippe Millet, settled down at Ferme de Marcault in Tonnerre in the mid-60s. In the early-80s, he created a wine estate when some of the land he cultivated for cereals became available for AOC Petit Chablis. He then planted 9 hectares of Petit Chablis, and acquired vines in AOC Chablis and AOC Chablis 1er Cru Vaucoupin. In addition to producing exceptional grapes, he decided to vinify and market them. Now retired, his son, Baudouin Millet manages the winery and continues to expand. Baudouin strives to produce wines with strong sense of place in order to showcase the purity of the Chardonnay grown on the signature soil of Chablis: Kimmeridgian soil.
Today the estate counts 16 hectares: 9 in AOC Petit Chablis, 4 in AOC Chablis, 1 in Chablis 1er Cru Vaucoupin, and since 2020, 1.75 in AOC Bourgogne Chardonnay.
And because of their commitment to preserve the environment the estate got certified HVE “High Environmental Value” in 2020 HVE.
